Hotel History:
Aida Plaza Hotel was built in 1912 by James D. Phelan the former Mayor of San Francisco from 1897 - 1902.
The Aida Plaza Hotel was formerly known as the Federal Hotel.
Mr. Phelan later on became a U.S. Senator in the year of 1915 - 1921.
This Hotel is recognized by the S.F. City Hall as a "Historic Building of San Francisco".
