To the north of us near Manchester there's Equinox Skyline Drive for truly outstanding views, and perhaps a picnic lunch high above the valley where Hildene (the home of Robert Todd Lincoln) can be toured. Norman Rockwell fans love the museum in Arlington. Then there's hiking the Long Trail, or perhaps a swim in crystal Lake Shaftsbury.
