The DeSoto Holiday House was established in 1963 and is one of the oldest hotels in the Bradford area and is located on the heart of the Alleghany National Forest Region. In the Alleghany Region, everything is bigger. The Sky is more vast, the mountains are higher and the trees a bit taller. Centrally located in Northwestern Pennsylvania, McKean County is your home base for exploring the Alleghany National Forest and State Park.
There are all types of trails year round. Enjoy more than 600 miles of trails for hiking, biking and backpacking. Enjoy over 100 miles for ATV riding and more than 300 miles for snowmobiling. Canoe, kayak or power boats offer water adventures on the Alleghany Reservoir, Potato Creek or the Alleghany River.
Take pleasure in touring by motorcycle, car or recreational vehicle along the Longhouse National scenic drive. The Kinzua Bridge Scenic Byway and scenic RT 6 provide a relaxing way to view the lush forests and wildlife within our region.
Our property has 65 rooms, each with full size beds and daily maid service. The hotel is small, clean and has a quiet atmosphere. It is located approximately 1.5 miles from the center of Bradford. The Bradford Regional Airport is located within a 15 mile radius. We offer seasonal outdoor heated pool. We also offer conference room with the capacity of 50-60 people.
